Car Camping
As you may recall, last weekend was the Rinker hall retreat. Being in 'the keys' actually turned out to be a bit dissappointing, since there really wasn't a 'beach' like the one by campus, so we couldn't really play football at/near the water. And it was hot...and still...the first night at least. Of the 38 who went, only 9 of us toughed it out and stayed through the second night. Those nine had a blast...busting out some 4-square and good ole fire jumping.
Friday night being a hot and still night, there were a number of guys who were pansies and couldn't tough it out. They ended up sleeping in their cars...with the AC. Three out of eight cars actually had people in them overnight...two turned the car on and off throught the night...and one just kept it on for most of the night, burning about a quarter tank of gas. One of these cars was a Mercedes...it was pretty pathetic...very pathetic...going 'camping' in one of these:
